CHANGHUA — Forget dusty textbooks and repetitive grammar drills. Last week, 100 students from five local senior high schools proved that the best way to master a language is to live it.
The Joint English Winter Camp , a collaborative initiative between five premier senior high schools in Changhua Township, recently concluded its successful two-day run. The event was designed to strengthen English proficiency through high-energy, hands-on experiences, moving the classroom outdoors (and into the kitchen).
Sports & Strategy: Students took to the field for Cricket lessons and various English outdoor games , learning teamwork and specialized vocabulary in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity & Culture: Indoor sessions featured the delicate art of Flower Pounding (botanical printing)
Creativity & Culture: A wide array of Board Games , where strategic thinking and negotiation were key.
Movement & Flavor: The energy remained high with professional Dance lessons , followed by Baking workshops where students followed recipes and instructions entirely in English—proving that "delicious" is a universal language.
