Hands Together Project in Chengkung High School
On May 17, 2024, Chengkung High School hosted university students from Changhua University as part of the Hands Together Project, fostering collaboration between high school and university students. The day began with introductions and a tour of Xihu Middle Street, followed by a traditional tea ceremony where students learned tea-making techniques. They then participated in a ceramic-making session, crafting small cups with university students' guidance. The event concluded with a visit to the Xihu Sugar Factory.
The Broadcasting Club interviewed the visitors, who praised the students' dedication and talent. Both groups enjoyed the experience and formed new friendships, leaving high school students inspired and eager for the next Hands Together Project.
2024年5月17日,成功高中與彰化師範大學的學生們合作,共同參與「大手牽小手」計畫。這次活動旨在促進高中生與大學生的交流與協作。
活動當天以介紹和參觀溪湖中街揭開序幕,接著學生們體驗了傳統茶道,學習泡茶技巧。隨後,他們在大學生的指導下,一起動手製作陶瓷小杯子。最後,一行人前往溪湖糖廠參觀,為活動畫下句點。
成功高中的廣播社也訪問了這些大學生,受訪者對高中生的投入與才華讚譽有加。兩校學生都非常享受這次經驗,也建立了新的友誼。這次的「大手牽小手」計畫激發了成功高中學生的熱情,他們也對下一次的活動充滿期待。
On May 30 2024, our students presented their achievements at the Achievement Exhibition and Graduation Talent Show. The exhibition showcased their outstanding work in academics and extra-curricular fields. At the talent show, students will demonstrate their skills in dance, singing, and role play. It was an exciting presentation that everyone to enjoyed.

From January 22–26, Chengkung High School held a winter camp filled with engaging activities for first-graders. Highlights included creating a word cloud, writing a collaborative chain story, and designing colorful lanterns. Students also enjoyed playing conversational board games, which improved their listening and speaking skills, and participated in a jazz chant session that made learning vocabulary fun through rhythm and repetition.
The camp provided a joyful and interactive environment, helping students enhance their English skills while enjoying creative and educational experiences.
成功高中於1月22日至26日舉辦了寒假營隊,為一年級學生帶來了豐富有趣的活動。亮點包括製作文字雲、撰寫接龍故事,以及設計色彩繽紛的燈籠。學生們也享受了對話式桌遊,這提升了他們的聽說能力,並參與了爵士歌謠(jazz chant)活動,透過節奏和重複讓學習單字變得有趣。
這次營隊提供了一個歡樂且互動的環境,幫助學生們在享受創意和教育體驗的同時,提升了他們的英語能力。
On March 5, 2024, Dessa, a foreign English teacher from the Philippines, conducted a successful demonstration lesson on Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) with seventh-grade students. The session was attended by representatives from the Changhua Government and CIEETRC.
Dessa engaged students by discussing their Dream City Mini 3D projects and introducing relevant vocabulary like "infrastructure" and "public transportation." The highlight was a group activity where students designed sustainable cities, presented their ideas in English, and received positive feedback.
The demonstration showcased the benefits of having a foreign English teacher and integrating real-world topics into education. Representatives praised Dessa's teaching and expressed interest in future collaborations with the school.
2024年3月5日,來自菲律賓的外籍英語教師Dessa,為七年級學生成功地進行了一堂關於永續城市與社區(SDG 11)的示範教學課程。彰化縣政府及中區英語教學資源中心(CIEETRC)的代表們也出席了本次課程。
Dessa透過討論學生的「夢想城市迷你3D專案」,並介紹「基礎建設」(infrastructure)和「大眾運輸」(public transportation)等相關詞彙,成功地吸引了學生的參與。課程的亮點是小組活動,學生們設計了永續城市,並用英語發表他們的想法,獲得了積極的回饋。
本次示範教學展現了外籍英語教師的優勢,以及將真實世界議題融入教育的好處。代表們讚揚了Dessa的教學,並表達了未來與學校合作的興趣。
"English composition" was a tool utilized by Ms. Yao Shimin, Teacher Fang, and Teacher Zhang Weiren, our senior high school English field teacher, to enhance and expand the curriculum. They filmed the process of turning books into sound stories and assisted senior high school students with writing in English. This demonstrated the ability of successful pupils to both write and create.
英文寫作是由本校高中英文領域教師姚詩敏老師、方老師、張維仁老師所運用,以提升和擴展課程的工具。他們拍攝了將書籍轉化為有聲故事的過程,並協助高中生進行英文寫作。這展現了優秀學生兼具寫作與創作的能力。
